Hue: Thanh Tien village in Phu Mau commune, Phu Vang district, Hue city is renowned for its long-standing tradition of crafting paper flower offerings, particularly lotus flowers. Located on the southern bank of the Huong River, the village boasts a rich history in this artistic craft, which dates back over 300 years.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the intricate creations from Thanh Tien have not only been showcased at numerous festivals and cultural events but have also found their way to international markets through exports. In recognition of its cultural significance, Hue city officially designated Thanh Tien as a traditional craft village in 2013, highlighting the village’s contribution to preserving and promoting this unique heritage.
