The Government Savings Bank invested only 10 million baht in the original Vayuphak Fund.

Mr. Songpol Chivapanyarot, Secretary-General of the Government Pension Fund (GPF), revealed that the GPF has invested in the Vayupak Mutual Fund One, Unitholder Type B (VAYUB) since 2013. Currently, the GPF has invested less than 10 million baht, which is a very small proportion when compared to the net asset value of the Vayupak Mutual Fund One, which is 347 billion baht or less than 0.002 percent.

The main unitholder of Vayupak Mutual Fund 1, Type B unitholders, is the Ministry of Finance. The GPF has no policy to invest further in Vayupak Mutual Fund 1, Type B unitholders, and has expressed its intention to redeem all Type B units since the end of August. This is currently in the process. Therefore, members are requested to ease their concerns regarding the various procedures related to investment in the original Vayupak Mutual Fund. -515 Thai News Agency
