The Ministry of Education assigns the Office of the Basic Education Commission to be responsible for opening a single account to help with the bus fire accident.

Surasak’, Deputy Minister of Education, cleared up the issue of accepting donations, declaring that the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) will be responsible for opening a single account, named ‘United Hearts, Helping Victims of a Bus Fire While Traveling to a Field Trip at Wat Khao Phraya Sangkharam School, Uthai Thani Province.’

Mr. Surasak Pancharoenworakul, Deputy Minister of Education, spoke about the clarity of the donations to help teachers and students affected by the fire incident of the field trip bus on October 1, which has caused criticism of the case of Wat Khao Phraya Sangkharam School in Uthai Thani Province accepting donations to help the families of the injured and deceased. Initially, the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) has examined the donation account, which must be clear on the amount received in order to help the families of the injured and deceased in a proper manner and to avoid confusion.

‘The latest information I received is that the Office of the Bas
ic Education Commission has opened only one fundraising account, which is the account name ‘United Hearts, Helping Victims of the Bus Fire While Traveling to a Field Trip to Wat Khao Phraya Sangkharam School, Uthai Thani Province’, Krung Thai Bank, Ministry of Education Branch, Savings Account Number 059-0-43728-3, which is operated by the Ministry of Education, only one account,’ said Mr. Surasak.

However, it is admitted that in the past, there may have been multiple accounts opened, which caused confusion. It is believed that all of this was due to good intentions and the desire to do good for the deceased and their families. No one would want to benefit from this matter. Therefore, from now on, donations can only be made to the account opened by the Office of the Basic Education Commission. We would like to thank everyone for their kindness in donating this time.
