The suspect who posted disturbing messages at 3 famous shopping malls in Korat confessed, claiming stress from family problems. He has no history of mental illness. The police are preparing to press serious charges. The Korat commander confirmed that the situation has returned to normal.

In the case of a person posting on Facebook threatening to shoot in a famous shopping mall in Korat City in the Korat Baan Eng news group, causing panic among the people of Korat, the police mobilized to search for the person who posted on Facebook until they arrested Ms. Bang-on, age 31, in Pak Thong Chai District. After finding Ms. Bang-on, the police checked her mobile phone and found evidence of the Facebook post, so they brought her in for questioning at Muang Nakhon Ratchasima Police Station.

Ms. Bang-on confessed to posting the message. The police charged her with ‘entering false information into a computer system that is likely to damage national security, public safety, economic security, infrastructure, public uti
lities, or cause panic among the public.’ If the investigation finds that she has committed other offenses, legal action will be taken.

Pol. Col. Narongrit Dansuwan, Commander of Nakhon Ratchasima Provincial Police, revealed that from the investigation, it was found that the suspect had 4 USERS on Facebook. They are currently investigating in depth to see if they are involved in any illegal posts. As for the criminal record, 4 cases were found: 1 case of theft, 3 cases of firearms, and the suspect has no history of mental illness treatment. As for the motive for the act, the suspect claimed that it was because he was stressed from family problems that did not accept him because he did not have a job. The situation is now back to normal. Tomorrow, 15 October, the police will take the case file and send the suspect to prosecute according to the law.
