Hanoi: Party General Secretary and State President To Lam stressed the need to build a modern artillery-missile force capable of fulfilling missions under new conditions, while attending a ceremony in Hanoi marking the 80th anniversary of the force (June 29, 1946-2026). General Secretary and State President Lam praised the force's outstanding achievements, stressing that Vietnam's rapid and sustainable development requires a strong national defence, with the artillery-missile force serving as a key pillar of combat power.

According to Vietnam News Agency, during the ceremony, Lam highlighted the importance of technological advancements and strategic planning to ensure the artillery-missile force remains capable of addressing emerging security challenges. He emphasized that enhancing the capabilities of this force is crucial for safeguarding national sovereignty and supporting the country's broader development goals.
