Top Leader Meets ASEAN Diplomats, Calls for United, Resilient ASEAN Community

Hanoi: Party General Secretary and State President To Lam on August 4 received ASEAN ambassadors and charg©s d'affaires in Hanoi on the occasion of the 59th anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC), and the 31st anniversary of Vietnam's accession to the regional bloc.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting underscored the importance of unity and resilience within the ASEAN Community. To Lam emphasized the need for stronger collaboration among member states to address regional challenges and promote peace and stability. The discussions also highlighted the significance of ASEAN's central role in maintaining regional security and fostering economic growth.

The diplomats and charg©s d'affaires expressed their appreciation for Vietnam's contributions to ASEAN over the past decades. They reiterated their commitment to working together to enhance regional cooperation and address shared concerns.
