Top Leader Pays Tribute to General Vo Nguyen Giap, Martyrs in Quang Tri

Quang tri: Party General Secretary and State President To Lam, accompanied by a high-level delegation, on April 29 paid tribute to General Vo Nguyen Giap and fallen soldiers at the Gianh Ferry Terminal Special National Historical Site, and Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery in Quang Tri province on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975-2026).

According to Vietnam News Agency, the visit by Party General Secretary and State President To Lam was a significant gesture to honor the sacrifices made by General Vo Nguyen Giap and other martyrs who fought for the nation's independence and reunification. The ceremony was part of the commemorative activities marking the historic victory that led to the country's reunification.

The Gianh Ferry Terminal Special National Historical Site and the Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery are prominent landmarks that hold great historical importance in Vietnam. The cemetery is the resting place for thousands of soldiers who laid down their lives during the Vietnam War.
