Top Legislator Asked for Thorough Preparations for NA, People’s Council Election

Hanoi: National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man has requested subcommittees of the National Election Council to stay highly vigilant in the final days before the election of deputies to the 16th NA and People's Council at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 tenure, aiming to ensure a democratic, lawful, safe election and a true nationwide festival of the people. NA Chairman Man chaired a meeting with the subcommittees on March 12 to review preparations for the election.

According to Vietnam News Agency, Chairman Man emphasized the importance of meticulous preparation to guarantee that the elections are conducted smoothly and effectively. He urged the subcommittees to rigorously adhere to the legal frameworks and guidelines established for the electoral process to maintain transparency and integrity.

The meeting focused on reviewing the logistical arrangements, security measures, and communication strategies necessary to facilitate an orderly election. Chairman Man highlighted the significance of cooperation among various levels of government and agencies to address any potential challenges that might arise.
