Top Vietnamese Leader Arrives in Canberra as Part of State Visit to Australia

Hanoi: General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and President To Lam and a high-level Vietnamese delegation arrived in Canberra on the evening of August 10 (local time). This visit is part of his state visit to Australia from August 9-12, which is being conducted at the invitation of Governor-General Sam Mostyn.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the visit aims to strengthen the bilateral relations between Vietnam and Australia. President To Lam's schedule includes meetings with top Australian officials to discuss various areas of cooperation and mutual interest. The visit is seen as a significant step in enhancing the diplomatic ties and fostering collaboration in economic, cultural, and educational fields between the two countries. The Vietnamese delegation will also engage with the Vietnamese community in Australia and participate in cultural exchange activities during their stay.
