Hanoi: General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam, along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, arrived in Sydney on the evening of August 9. This marks the beginning of their state visit to Australia, scheduled from August 9 to 14, following an invitation extended by the Governor-General of Australia, Sam Mostyn.

According to Vietnam News Agency, this visit aims to strengthen the diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Australia through various meetings and discussions with Australian officials.
