Top Vietnamese Leader Commences State Visit to Australia

Hanoi: General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam, along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, arrived in Sydney on the evening of August 9. This marks the beginning of their state visit to Australia, scheduled from August 9 to 14, following an invitation extended by the Governor-General of Australia, Sam Mostyn.

According to Vietnam News Agency, this visit aims to strengthen the diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Australia through various meetings and discussions with Australian officials. The Vietnamese delegation's agenda includes engagements that focus on enhancing bilateral cooperation in areas such as trade, education, and regional security. The visit is seen as a crucial step in reinforcing the partnership between the two nations, which have shared diplomatic relations for several decades.
