Hanoi: A training course on Vietnamese language teaching for 40 Vietnamese teachers and volunteers from nine countries opened in Hanoi on December 2. The course, running from December 1 to 15, includes lectures, workshops, and cultural activities in Hanoi. It aims to equip teachers with modern teaching methods and provides a platform for sharing experiences and building a stronger Vietnamese language network. The annual training course for Vietnamese language teachers abroad, which was first held in 2013, aims to enhance the teaching capacity of professional and non-professional teachers, and update them with new knowledge in the field.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the participants will engage in a comprehensive curriculum designed to improve their instructional skills and broaden their understanding of Vietnamese culture. The course also facilitates networking among educators, fostering collaboration and exchange of best practices. This initiative reflects Vietnam’s commitment to promoting its language
and culture globally by supporting educators who play a crucial role in this effort.
The program not only focuses on language instruction techniques but also incorporates cultural immersion experiences, allowing participants to gain a deeper appreciation of Vietnam’s rich heritage. By the end of the course, educators are expected to return to their respective countries with enhanced skills and a renewed passion for teaching Vietnamese, thereby contributing to the preservation and dissemination of the language abroad.
