Truong Sanh Residence: A Historical Gem of the Nguyen Dynasty

Hue:Truong Sanh residence, situated in the northwest of the Hue Imperial Citadel, was a royal garden designed for the empress dowagers of the Nguyen Dynasty to enjoy its scenic beauty.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the architectural design of Truong Sanh residence adheres to the traditional principles of the Nguyen Dynasty, emphasizing symmetry, balance, and harmony with nature. The residence's layout is meticulously planned, typically aligned along a central axis, with buildings placed to meet both functional needs and symbolic meanings.

Constructed in 1821 during the reign of Emperor Minh Mang, the residence underwent restoration between 2005 and 2007. Emperor Thieu Tri recognized its significance by ranking it seventh among the twenty scenic beauties of the Imperial Capital.
