Hanoi: Vessels Truong Sa 01 and Truong Sa 19 set sail from the port of Naval Region 2 Command in Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of January 16, carrying Tet gifts sent by people nationwide to officers and soldiers on duty at the DK1 offshore platforms, naval ships at sea, and in the Con Dao special zone.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the departure of these vessels marks a significant effort to ensure that those serving in remote locations receive gifts and well-wishes during the Tet holiday. The operation highlights the support and gratitude of the nation towards its military personnel who are stationed far from home during the festive period.
The DK1 platforms and naval ships play a crucial role in maintaining maritime security and sovereignty. The delivery of Tet gifts is an annual tradition aimed at boosting the morale of the troops and reminding them of the country's appreciation for their service.
The vessels are expected to navigate challenging sea conditions to reach their destinations, underscoring the commitment of the Navy to maintain these vital connections between the mainland and its offshore forces.
