Typhoon Yagi enters East Sea, PM orders preparedness

Typhoon Yagi entered the East Sea on September 3, becoming the third storm in the sea so far this year, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting (NCHF). As of 7am, the eye of the storm was at about 18.4 degrees North latitude, 119.8 degrees East longitude, in the northeastern area of the north East Sea. From September 4-6, Typhoon Yagi may reach very strong level in the northeast of the East Sea. In the next 24 hours, 2-4m waves may occur in the eastern part of the north East Sea, which may rise to 5-7m on September 4-6, causing rough sea which is very dangerous for ships operating in this area. On September 3, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh ordered prompt measures from ministries, sectors, and localities against the typhoon.
