UXO Awareness Contest Engages Over 1.8 Million Nationwide

Hanoi: More than 1.8 million people nationwide participated in an online contest focused on preventing accidents caused by unexploded ordnance (UXO), highlighting significant public involvement in addressing one of Vietnam's enduring post-war issues, as discussed at a conference in Hanoi. The event was hosted by the Vietnam National Mine Action Centre (VNMAC), which organized the contest and recognized its winners.

According to Vietnam News Agency, VNMAC collaborated closely with various ministries, agencies, and local authorities. It also partnered with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Vietnam and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Vietnam. The contest was part of the Korea-Vietnam Peace Village Project (KVPVP), which is being implemented in Hue City and the provinces of Quang Ngai and Gia Lai.
