CARACAS: The Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela, in partnership with the institute for strategic and operational studies under the Venezuelan Ministry of Defence, hosted a seminar on November 20. The event focused on the formation and development of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), marking its 80th founding anniversary, which spans from December 22, 1944, to 2024.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the seminar served as a platform to highlight the historical significance and achievements of the VPA over the past eight decades. It brought together experts and officials from both countries who exchanged insights on the evolution and contributions of the VPA in regional and international contexts. The event underscored the importance of the VPA in maintaining national sovereignty and its role in various peacekeeping missions worldwide.
