Bishkek: Vice State President Vo Thi Anh Xuan held meetings with United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Secretary General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Kairat Sarybay, and President of the Council of Ministers of Togo Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe on September 1 evening (local time) on the sidelines of the expanded Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO Plus) Summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

According to Vietnam News Agency, these meetings were conducted to strengthen bilateral relations and discuss various international and regional issues. The Vice State President's engagement with key figures like Antonio Guterres and Kairat Sarybay highlights the importance of multilateral cooperation in addressing global challenges.

During the talks with Secretary-General Guterres, topics such as sustainable development and climate change were reportedly discussed, emphasizing the UN's role in fostering global collaboration. The meeting with CICA's Secretary General Sarybay focused on enhancing security and mutual trust across Asia, reflecting the organization's ongoing efforts to facilitate dialogue among its member states.

In her meeting with President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe, the Vice State President explored opportunities to boost economic and political ties between her country and Togo, aiming to expand collaborative efforts in sectors of mutual interest.
