Vietnam Advocates for Dialogue and Mediation in Middle East Peace Efforts

New york: Vietnam has reaffirmed its support for dialogue, mediation, and political solutions as the only viable path toward lasting peace and stability in the Middle East. Speaking at a high-level open debate of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) held in New York, Minister Counsellor Nguyen Hai Luu, Deputy Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the UN, expressed deep concern over the complex situation across the region, including developments in the Strait of Hormuz, the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and Lebanon.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the UNSC debate, themed 'Advancing political solutions in the Middle East: mediation and dialogue for a lasting peace', emphasized the urgent need for diplomatic measures to address ongoing tensions. Nguyen Hai Luu highlighted the importance of international cooperation in fostering dialogue among conflicting parties to pave a way for peace.

Vietnam's stance underscores its commitment to supporting international peace initiatives and the critical role of the UNSC in facilitating mediation processes.
