This sentiment was expressed by Politburo member, Vice Secretary of the Central Military Commission, and Minister of National Defence Gen. Phan Van Giang during a reception held in Hanoi for Lieut. Gen Victor Leonardo Rojo Ramos. Rojo Ramos is a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and serves as the Chief of the Political Directorate of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting underscored the enduring partnership between Vietnam and Cuba, focusing on strengthening the military cooperation that has been a cornerstone of their diplomatic engagement.
