Hanoi: The Ministries of National Defence of Vietnam and Cambodia have agreed to consolidate and deepen their traditional solidarity and close-knit relations, while enhancing information exchange and effectively advising senior leaders on military and defence affairs. The consensus was reached during talks between Vietnamese Minister of National Defence General Phan Van Giang and Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence General Tea Seiha.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting took place within the framework of the second Vietnam-Cambodia Border Defence Friendship Exchange. The discussions emphasized the importance of strengthening defence cooperation between the two nations, focusing on areas such as information sharing and strategic military advisement to senior leadership.
Both parties acknowledged the significance of their historical ties and expressed commitment to further develop their defence partnership. The dialogue underscored a mutual understanding of regional security challenges and the necessity for a united approach to address these issues effectively.
