Vietnam and Cambodia Commit to Enhance Defence Cooperation

Ho chi minh city: The Ministries of National Defence of Vietnam and Cambodia have committed to further developing their comprehensive defence cooperation. This decision was reached during the eighth Vietnam-Cambodia Defence Policy Dialogue, which took place in Ho Chi Minh City on October 29. The dialogue was co-chaired by Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of National Defence, Sen. Lt. Gen. Hoang Xuan Chien, and Cambodia’s General Chay Saing Yun, who serves as the Permanent Secretary of State of the Ministry of National Defence of Cambodia.

According to Vietnam News Agency, both nations emphasized the importance of continuing their trusted and substantive cooperation in various defence-related areas. The agreement highlights a mutual commitment to strengthening ties and addressing common security challenges, thereby fostering peace and stability in the region. The dialogue serves as a platform for both countries to discuss and enhance their strategic partnership in defence matters.
