Siem reap: Vietnam and Cambodia have reaffirmed their commitment to fortifying their long-standing friendship and cooperation. Trinh Van Quyet, Politburo member and Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee, met with Ean Khun, a member of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) in Siem Reap. The meeting, held on May 14, was a significant part of Quyet's official visit to Cambodia, focusing on deepening ties between the two neighboring nations.
According to Vietnam News Agency, Quyet, who also serves as the Chairman of the CPV Central Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation, engaged in discussions with Ean Khun, the Vice President of the CPP Organisation in Siem Reap province. The dialogue aimed to explore avenues for enhancing collaboration across various sectors. During their meeting, both parties expressed a shared vision for future cooperation, emphasizing the importance of sustaining and developing the traditional friendship that has existed for decades.
In addition to the discussions, Quyet and the CPV delegation paid tribute to the historical bonds between Vietnam and Cambodia by laying flowers at the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Monument in Siem Reap. This gesture underscored the mutual respect and commitment both nations have towards maintaining peace and stability in the region.
