Vietnam and Cambodia Strengthen Bonds During New Year Visits

Phnom penh: Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Minh Vu recently conducted New Year visits to key military leaders in Cambodia, fostering a spirit of friendship and solidarity between the two nations. The visits took place on March 24-25, coinciding with preparations for Cambodia's traditional New Year, Chol Chnam Thmey, celebrated in mid-April. During these meetings, Ambassador Vu extended warm wishes to the leaders and members of the Cambodian armed forces.

According to Vietnam News Agency, Ambassador Vu met with Vong Pisen, the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, at their High Command headquarters. During the meeting, he conveyed his best wishes for the New Year to General Vong Pisen and all officers and soldiers of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces. The meetings aimed to reinforce the long-standing bonds and mutual cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia, highlighting the importance of continued collaboration in areas of shared interest and security.
