Vietnam and China Convene 17th Steering Committee Meeting for Bilateral Cooperation


Hanoi: Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son and Chinese Politburo member, Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi co-chaired the 17th meeting of the Vietnam – China Steering Committee for Bilateral Cooperation in Hanoi on March 17. The meeting was attended by representatives of ministries, agencies, border localities, and several provinces and cities from both countries.



According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation between Vietnam and China. The discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in various sectors, addressing regional issues, and fostering mutual understanding and trust. Both parties expressed their commitment to maintaining stable and healthy relations, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and cooperation in addressing common challenges.



The meeting also provided a platform for both nations to discuss ways to expand economic ties and explore new areas of cooperation. The representatives highlighted the need for continued efforts in promoting trade, investment, and connectivity between the two countries.
