Hanoi:Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau has urged Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) and China's Tsinghua University to strengthen their partnership in developing high-quality human resources, scientific research, innovation, and technology transfer. This call to action took place during a meeting with representatives from both universities in Hanoi on November 3.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting was conducted in anticipation of the Global MOOC and Online Education Conference 2026 (GMC 2026), co-organized by VNU and Tsinghua University, which is set to be held in Hanoi.

During the event, VNU University of Science and Tsinghua's School of Environment formalized their cooperation by signing a memorandum of understanding. This agreement covers collaboration in training, scientific research, and sustainable development initiatives.
