Hanoi:Vietnam and Lithuania are working to enhance political trust and broaden cooperation across various sectors, including trade, investment, technology, energy, and education. This initiative follows the official visit of National Assembly Vice President Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Doan Anh to Lithuania from September 27-29.
According to Vietnam News Agency, this visit was significant as it marked the first time a Vietnamese National Assembly leader has visited Lithuania. It also builds momentum for the upcoming 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2027.
The visit by Nguyen Doan Anh comes after Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda's trip to Vietnam in June 2025, indicating a mutual interest in strengthening bilateral relations.
