Vietnam and Republic of Korea Enhance Cooperation in Labour Management

Seoul: Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vu Chien Thang has conducted a series of working sessions in Seoul with the Republic of Korea’s (RoK) Ministry of Employment and Labour (MOEL), the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRD Korea), and the Ministry of Justice to bolster bilateral cooperation in labour, employment, and migration management. These areas are essential components supporting the Employment Permit System (EPS) between the two nations.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the discussions focused on improving the framework of the Employment Permit System, which plays a vital role in facilitating the movement of Vietnamese workers to the Republic of Korea. The meetings aimed to address challenges in labour management and ensure sustainable migration practices that benefit both countries. The collaboration is expected to streamline processes and enhance the mutual benefits of the EPS, contributing to stronger ties between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.
