Vietnam and UNICEF Celebrate Five-Decade Cooperation

Hanoi: The Government and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) jointly held a ceremony in Hanoi to mark 50 years of Vietnam-UNICEF cooperation and 35 years since the country ratified the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC).

According to Vietnam News Agency, the event highlighted the significant milestones achieved in the partnership between Vietnam and UNICEF over the past five decades. The cooperation has focused on improving the welfare and rights of children across Vietnam, aligning with the principles of the CRC ratified by the country 35 years ago.

The ceremony in Hanoi served as a platform to reflect on the progress made in areas such as child health, education, and protection. Both parties emphasized the importance of continued collaboration to address ongoing challenges and to further enhance the rights and well-being of children in Vietnam.
