Hanoi: The Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA) was honored with the second-class Labour Order by the State President during a ceremony in Hanoi on August 4. This recognition was awarded in acknowledgment of VAVA's significant efforts in supporting victims of Agent Orange/dioxin and in safeguarding their legitimate rights and interests. The ceremony also commemorated the 65th anniversary of the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam, which occurred on August 10, 1961, and is observed annually on August 10 as the Day for Victims of Agent Orange.
