Hanoi: Vietnamese Ambassador to Mexico Nguyen Van Hai has taken on the role of rotating Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Mexico (ACMC), succeeding Malaysian Ambassador Jamal Johan. The official handover ceremony took place at the Malaysian Embassy headquarters in Mexico City, attended by the heads of diplomatic missions from ASEAN member states in Mexico.
According to Vietnam News Agency, this leadership transition marks a significant step for Vietnam as it pledges to enhance cooperation between ASEAN and Mexico. Ambassador Nguyen Van Hai’s new position is expected to facilitate stronger ties and collaborative efforts within the ASEAN community and with Mexico.
