Vietnam, Canada Agree on Economic Cooperation Direction for New Period

Ottawa: Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs at Global Affairs Canada Arun Thangaraj co-chaired the third meeting of the Vietnam-Canada Joint Economic Committee (JEC 3) in Ottawa on June 5.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting focused on strengthening economic cooperation between Vietnam and Canada. Both parties discussed strategies and frameworks to enhance trade relations and agreed on a direction for economic collaboration in the coming period. The discussions aimed at leveraging each country's strengths to foster economic growth and mutual benefits.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of bilateral relations and the potential for further cooperation in various sectors. Both ministers emphasized the need to continue dialogue and collaboration to achieve the shared economic goals outlined during this meeting.
