Hanoi: The ninth Vietnam – China Border Defence Friendship Exchange has officially begun, co-chaired by Vietnamese Minister of National Defence General Phan Van Giang and Chinese Minister of National Defence Senior Lieutenant General Dong Jun. The event started on April 16 in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China and is set to continue in Lang Son province of Vietnam the next day.
According to Vietnam News Agency, this annual exchange aims to strengthen the defence relationship between Vietnam and China, fostering mutual understanding and cooperation. The programme includes a series of activities designed to enhance collaboration in border management and security between the two nations, reflecting their commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region.
