Vietnam Co-Chairs Key ASEAN-New Zealand Meeting to Review Cooperation Progress

Jakarta: As Country Coordinator for ASEAN-New Zealand relations, the Permanent Mission of Vietnam to ASEAN co-chaired the 14th Meeting of the ASEAN-New Zealand Joint Cooperation Committee at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta on April 24. The session was conducted in collaboration with the New Zealand Mission to assess advancements in cooperation and discuss strategic directions for the future.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting was a significant follow-up to milestones set for 2025, which will commemorate the 50th anniversary of ASEAN and New Zealand's Dialogue Relations. This includes the upgrading of their ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) and the adoption of the ASEAN-New Zealand Plan of Action for the years 2026-2030.
