Hanoi: Vietnam Coast Guard vessel CSB 8005 has made its first official visit to Malaysia's Pahang state from June 22-25, underscoring the close friendship and cooperation between maritime law enforcement agencies of the two countries. The visit follows the elevation of Vietnam-Malaysia relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in November 2024.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Vietnam Coast Guard's visit to Malaysia is a significant step in enhancing collaborative efforts in maritime security. The visit is expected to facilitate further exchanges and training activities between the two nations, fostering mutual understanding and shared interests in maintaining security in the region.
