Vietnam, Czech Republic Step Up Local-Level Cooperation, Cultural Exchange

Karlovy vary: Vietnam and the Czech Republic are moving to deepen local-level cooperation and cultural exchange, with new initiatives centred on regional partnerships and community engagement. During a working visit to the Karlovy Vary Region on April 28, Vietnamese Ambassador Duong Hoai Nam met with Regional Governor Petr Kubis and Karlovy Vary Mayor Andrea Pfeffer Ferklov¡.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the discussions focused on enhancing mutual understanding and promoting cultural ties between the two nations. Both parties emphasized the importance of community engagement and agreed to explore opportunities for collaboration in various sectors, including education, tourism, and trade. The meeting underscored the commitment of both countries to strengthen their bilateral relations through targeted local-level initiatives.

The Vietnamese delegation expressed interest in learning from the Czech Republic's experience in regional governance and development, which could be beneficial for Vietnam's own regional development strategies. Meanwhile, the Czech representatives highlighted the potential for increased cultural exchanges, which could foster greater people-to-people connections and shared cultural appreciation.
