Paris:Ambassador Nguyen Thi Van Anh, Vietnam's Permanent Representative to UNESCO, has called for the organization to reinforce its unique role in establishing peace and fostering equitable and sustainable development.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the ambassador's remarks were made during a plenary meeting on October 9 at the 225th session of UNESCO's Executive Board, which is taking place in Paris from October 8 to 20, 2026.

Ambassador Van Anh highlighted the importance of UNESCO's efforts in promoting inclusivity and humane development, especially in the face of significant changes in the international order.
