Vietnam Gains Insights from France on Nuclear Power Plant Construction

Paris: A visiting delegation from the Ministry of Construction led by Deputy Minister Pham Minh Ha held a meeting with the French Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection (ASNR) on September 15. The meeting saw the participation of Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang and ASNR Commissioner Stephanie Guenot-Bresson, Deputy General Director Julien Collet, International Cooperation Officer Marilyn Tombette, and leaders of several Vietnamese construction management, training, and research units.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the discussions focused on sharing France’s extensive experience and best practices in the construction and management of nuclear power plants. The Vietnamese delegation expressed keen interest in adopting advanced safety standards and construction technologies to bolster Vietnam’s capabilities in nuclear energy development.

The meeting underscored the importance of international collaboration in ensuring the safe and efficient development of nuclear power infrastructure. Both parties agreed to continue their cooperation, exploring further opportunities for training and knowledge exchange in the field of nuclear energy.
