Athens: Vietnamese Ambassador to Greece Pham Thi Thu Huong has underscored Vietnam's desire to expedite the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on labour cooperation with Greece. The aim is to create a clear legal framework for collaboration and ensure worker protection in line with both countries' regulations. This was discussed in a meeting on March 30 with Greek Minister for Migration and Asylum Athanasios Plevris, where the ambassador also highlighted Vietnam's broader labour cooperation landscape, particularly its engagement with European partners, including Greece.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the proposed agreement signifies a mutual commitment to enhancing labour relations between Vietnam and Greece. The collaboration seeks to foster a structured environment for Vietnamese workers in Greece, aligning with international labour standards. This initiative reflects Vietnam's ongoing efforts to strengthen ties with European countries through comprehensive partnerships and cooperative agreements.
