Hanoi: Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung paid an official visit to Indonesia on July 14, where he co-chaired the sixth meeting of the Vietnam - Indonesia Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation and, together with his Indonesian counterpart Sugiono, signed the 2026-2030 Action Plan to realise the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting marked a significant step forward in strengthening the ties between Vietnam and Indonesia. The newly signed Action Plan outlines a roadmap for future collaboration across various sectors, including trade, investment, defense, and cultural exchanges. This initiative aims to enhance mutual benefits and address shared challenges in the region.
The Vietnam - Indonesia Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation meeting emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation in response to evolving regional dynamics. Both countries reaffirmed their commitment to working closely in international forums and supporting each other in common global pursuits.
