Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association of Hanoi Marks Three Decades of Diplomatic Progress

Hanoi: The Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association (VJFA) of Hanoi commemorated its 30th anniversary on September 11, highlighting its role in fostering bilateral people-to-people diplomacy. This celebration took place a week ahead of its official founding date on September 18. The association began with three chapters and approximately 50 members and has expanded to 12 chapters with over 400 members from various sectors.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the association’s growth over the past three decades underscores its commitment to strengthening the relationship between Vietnam and Japan. The increase in membership reflects a broadening interest and participation in diplomatic and cultural exchanges between the two nations. The VJFA has played a key role in facilitating dialogue and collaboration, contributing to a deeper mutual understanding and cooperation.

The anniversary marks a significant milestone in the association’s history, celebrating its achievements and setting the stage for future initiatives aimed at enhancing bilateral relations.
