Hanoi: Vietnam and Laos have reaffirmed their commitment to expanding military medical cooperation, with a stronger focus on high-quality personnel training, advanced medical technology transfer, and reproductive medicine. During a working visit to Laos, a delegation from Vietnam Military Medical University led by its Political Commissar Lt. Gen. Nghiem Duc Thuan met with Sen. Lt. Gen. Saichay Kommasith, Deputy Minister of National Defence and Chief of the General Staff of the Lao People's Army, on July 29.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the discussions emphasized the importance of enhancing collaboration in military medical services between the two countries. The meeting highlighted a shared interest in developing programs that will facilitate the exchange of medical expertise and technology, aiming to improve the healthcare capabilities of both nations' military personnel.

The Vietnamese delegation's visit signifies a continuing trend of close ties between the neighboring countries, particularly in the field of defense and medical services.
