Nghe an: High-level delegations from the Ministries of Defence of Vietnam and Laos held talks in the central province of Nghe An on July 10 as part of the third Vietnam-Laos Border Defence Friendship Exchange. Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence General Phan Van Giang and his Lao counterpart General Khamliang Outhakaysone co-chaired the event.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the talks were aimed at exploring avenues to enhance bilateral defence cooperation between the two neighboring countries. The exchange serves as a significant platform for both nations to discuss and implement strategies to bolster their mutual defence relations. The discussions are part of ongoing efforts to maintain and strengthen the longstanding friendship and cooperation in defence matters between Vietnam and Laos.
