Vietnam Launches Photo, Video Award Highlighting Human Rights Progress

Hanoi: ‘Happy Vietnam 2025’, an annual photography and video award, was launched in Hanoi on May 22 with a view to showcasing the country’s achievements in human rights protection. The initiative is jointly organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, and Vietnam Television.

This initiative is expected to create a platform for artists and videographers to capture and share stories that reflect the nation’s progress in this important area.

The contest is set to run annually, encouraging participants to submit their works that best depict the ongoing advancements in human rights across the country. By involving artists and media professionals in this effort, the initiative hopes to foster a greater understanding and appreciation of human rights issues among the wider public.
