Hanoi:The Vietnam Maritime Forum 2026, themed 'Building Vietnam into a strong maritime nation through international cooperation and integration', commenced on October 2.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the event was hosted by the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Delegates at the forum discussed strategies to implement the Politburo's Resolution 20-NQ/TW, which focuses on transforming Vietnam's marine potential into sustainable development resources.

The discussions aimed to identify ways to leverage international cooperation and integration to strengthen the nation's maritime capabilities.
