Vietnam Provides Substantial Humanitarian Aid to Earthquake-Hit Venezuela

Hanoi: A Vietnamese delegation on June 30 handed over humanitarian aid to support Venezuela's recovery efforts following two powerful earthquakes that struck the South American country on the evening of June 24. The total volume of relief supplies amounted to 45.6 tonnes, including 35 tonnes of emergency rations, 4 tonnes of medicines, 2 tonnes of canned meat, four generators, 500 tents, 10 large relief shelters, and 50,000 rolls of medical bandages.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the humanitarian aid delivered by Vietnam aims to assist the Venezuelan authorities in their efforts to provide immediate relief to the affected communities. The provision of emergency rations and medical supplies is expected to address the urgent needs of those impacted by the natural disaster. Furthermore, the generators and tents are intended to offer temporary relief and shelter to displaced individuals, while the large relief shelters will provide additional support for housing and care facilities.
