Vietnam, RoK Law Enforcement Agencies Step Up Cooperation

Hanoi: Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang received Shin Jung Hoon, Chairman of the Public Administration and Security Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea (RoK), in Hanoi on August 19, discussing measures to boost cooperation between the two countries, particularly in law enforcement. Minister Quang welcomed the committee’s delegation to visit the ministry on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the People’s Public Security Force (August 19, 1945 – 2025).

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing collaboration between Vietnam and the RoK in addressing regional security challenges and improving the efficiency of law enforcement. Both sides expressed a commitment to deepen their partnership and explore new avenues for cooperation in areas such as counter-terrorism, cybercrime prevention, and public safety management.

The visit by Shin Jung Hoon and his delegation underscores the importance both nations place on strengthening their bilateral ties, particularly in the realm of public security. This engagement is expected to pave the way for further dialogues and joint initiatives aimed at ensuring peace and stability in the region.
