Hanoi: Vietnam welcomed nearly 2 million international visitors in August, marking an increase of 19.7% from July and 18.4% compared to the same month last year. The influx of tourists highlights the country's growing appeal as a travel destination in the region. According to Vietnam News Agency, the first eight months of the year saw nearly 16 million foreign visitors arriving in Vietnam. This represents a 14.4% rise from the same period in 2025 and accounts for 63.6% of the full-year target. The steady growth in tourist numbers underscores Vietnam's efforts to bolster its tourism sector and enhance its global reach.
