Hanoi: Vietnam received nearly 4.7 million international visitors in the first two months of 2026, up 18.1% year-on-year. Tourist arrivals by air accounted for the largest share with more than 3.83 million visitors, representing 81.8% of the total. Arrivals by land made up 15.8% while sea travel accounted for 2.4%.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) provided these figures, highlighting the growth in international tourism for the country. The data indicates a strong start to the year for Vietnam's tourism sector, which relies heavily on air travel for the majority of its international visitors. The increase in arrivals suggests a positive trend for the tourism industry in 2026.
