Hanoi: Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung held separate bilateral meetings with Tess Lazaro, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines; Cho Hyun, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (RoK); and Espen Barth Eide, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway, on the sidelines of the 59th ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting (AMM-59) and related meetings in the Philippines on July 23.

According to Vietnam News Agency, these meetings were aimed at enhancing cooperation between Vietnam and each of these nations. The discussions covered a range of topics crucial to strengthening diplomatic and economic relations. The meeting with the Philippines focused on collaborative efforts in trade and maritime security. With the Republic of Korea, discussions aimed at expanding technological cooperation and cultural exchanges. The dialogue with Norway centered on sustainable development and environmental issues, reflecting shared interests in addressing global challenges. These meetings underscore Vietnam's proactive approach to fostering bilateral ties within the ASEAN framework.
