Vietnam, Timor-Leste Expand Cooperation in Food Security and Fisheries

Dili: Vietnamese Charg© d'Affaires to Timor-Leste Pham Binh Dam held a meeting in Dili on July 20 with Timor-Leste Deputy Prime Minister Mariano Assanami Sabino Lopes to discuss measures to deepen cooperation in food security, fisheries, rural development, and human resources training.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting focused on expanding collaborative efforts between the two nations in critical areas such as food security and fisheries. Both parties emphasized the importance of strengthening ties to support rural development and enhance human resources training. The discussions underscored a mutual commitment to addressing food security challenges and improving the fisheries sector, which are vital for the economies of both Vietnam and Timor-Leste.
